There’s this ideal that women want manly men. Because we’re not women (obviously) there are certain qualities about us that really drive a girl wild. Is it our facial hair? Or our upper body strength? The question lies in trying to figure out what women really think is manly. Back in the day it was all crocodile wrestling and fighting snakes, but now we’re a more refined culture. Men don’t have to hunt or chop firewood nearly as often as they used to, so that’s out. Paying Attention and Acting on it

A guy who can sit and listen to a woman is worth his weight in gold. While men are known for their problem solving, it’s the times that they pay attention to what a woman is saying and then remember or react on it way later on. If she says she wants a certain item for a holiday or that she’s struggling with finding the time to water her garden then remember that. Acting on these things that she needs without making a big deal of it means a lot to her. The fact that you’re willing to do something for her shows that you can provide, which is very manly, but when you take note of something you talked about days, weeks, or even months before she’ll find your dedication and memory very sexy and masculine. Presence of mind says a lot for a guy.

Having Purpose

It doesn’t matter what you’re trying to do in life, having a purpose is very attractive to women. When they’re on the lookout for a man, following through and striving for something is on the top of the list when it comes to manly men. You could be in the process of opening your own business or just trying to get a promotion at work. This hails back to being able to take care of her in the long run. She doesn’t want a guy who’s going to stay on the couch all day, she wants someone who knows what he’s doing with his life.

Being Chivalrous

Chivalry is pretty dead, so when you step up your game and do those old-school gentlemanly things, she’s going to take notice faster than her panties will drop. Women want to be treated like women. Obviously she’s an equal, but what woman wouldn’t like a door opened for them, a chair pulled out, and some free dinner? Since there are so many men that only show their polite side when the lights are dimmed, she may be suspicious. But keep up those good manners and she’ll see that what you’re doing is no façade.

Being Confident

Self Confidence is the number one manly trait that women look for when spotting a guy. Waling with your head held high and your shoulders back say that you’re purposeful and sure of yourself. A guy like that makes great arm candy for any woman and naturally attracts those around him.
