One of the best things about being a guy is that you get to grow facial hair. This is something that women absolutely try to avoid on themselves but find very sexy on a guy. It’s not for everyone, but a well groomed face of hair can add a lot to how a guy looks. There’s a price, though. While we all naturally grow facial hair, that’s not to say we all can do it without a few mishaps along the way. Not being in touch with your hair or ignoring some basic needs can hurt or even ruin your chances with a fair amount of women. To make sure that you aren’t one of the poor guys being cock blocked by your own face, read on.
Growing It Out
Oh the awkwardness of a new beard. Even worse, a new moustache. When they start growing out, more often than not, they look like patchy little pubes. It’s not attractive. If you can, start the growing process while on holiday so that you don’t have to show too many potential ladies that you’re doing it. If that’s not possible, then you can always take a few steps to help it along. You can take some vitamins that encourage hair and nail growth, as some women do. This will help strengthen and thicken the hair coming in. But that’s starting from the inside. You care about what the ladies will see. It’s understandable, considering the straggly hair that graces the chin and upper lip can make you look undesirable. To keep that from happening, take a pair of scissors to your face every day. Some hair grows faster than others, so they’ll look wilder. Keep them in line with the others and you’ll look like you’re intentionally keeping your hair thin.
Designing It
Some men feel the need to get designs cut into their facial hair. Of course you have to have a bit of it there to do this, but even if you do have the thickness, you just shouldn’t do it. Yes, designs seem like a cool idea, but look at anyone who’s done it. They all look like tools; men who make asses of themselves. The angles and curves that accompany graphic face designs don’t flatter the bone structure around the hair so it doesn’t even make you more aesthetically attractive. While you can always choose whether you want mutton chops, a moustache, a soul patch, or any combination of where the facial hair is, trimming it into shapes is pretty much a no go in the lady department.
Length
There are definitely some men who can rock a long beard and moustache without a miss, but for most of us keeping a shorter style can make a big difference. You look polished and masculine as opposed to a while mountain man. Go to a barber for a guide the first few times that you need a trim so that you have an idea of what your facial hair needs.
